Atlantic Way submission to the National Planning Framework - Ireland 2040

The development gap between the West and Dublin continues to widen every day. We need new approaches and urgent actions

Ireland’s spatial and regional policies (or the lack of them) over several decades have largely contributed to the different rates of growth or decline Regions are now experiencing. The gap is widening every day.

In the Atlantic Way's submission to the National Planning Framework - Ireland 2040, we have made some recommendations we believe would make a difference. However, the scale of the imbalance requires immediate actions.

Note: The Atlantic Way is not to be confused with the Wild Atlantic Way (the Atlantic Way initiative was established in 2005 and pre-dates the Wild Atlantic Way)
