The Atlantic Way is working to partner with the best regions internationally, building active partnership links and developing joint commercial ventures.

The Open World | Open Minds program is one of the Atlantic Way’s initiatives. Our objective is to forge vibrant connections with a necklace of progressive regions from around the world, for shared benefit.

In times of economic challenge, there are always opportunities. We continuously seek out  innovative solutions to our challenges, and we know that other progressive regions worldwide are seeking, or have found, solutions to similar challenges.

The Atlantic Way Region, for instance, offers location opportunities and joint commercial venture opportunities because of our strategic position between East and West and because we are a perfect beachhead into Europe – giving direct access to 800 million consumers.

We also offer some specific opportunities relating to our unique resources and infrastructure.

For our part, we know that partnering with other progressive regions around the world can also give us access to new markets and facilitates learning and collaboration at many levels. It can, for example, facilitate collaboration between our respective industries,

colleges, hospitals, research, development and innovation centres, and between various sectors from life sciences and aviation to ITC and green technologies.

The Atlantic Way has already forged connections with regions in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are now working to broaden and strengthen our collaborations.
